Gate Automation In mesa, az and beyond
Updated June 2026 with current pricing
Gate automation turns a manual gate into a controlled access point. Whether you need a simple remote-operated driveway gate or a fully managed commercial access system with license plate recognition and offsite database control, Triple B Garage Doors and Gates designs and installs the right solution for your property.
We work with LiftMaster, DoorKing (DKS), All-O-Matic, Viking, and other leading brands throughout Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Phoenix, and Maricopa.
Every project starts with a free onsite consultation. We assess your gate, your property, and how you need the system to function, then recommend what actually fits, not whatever is easiest to sell.
Swing Gate or Slide Gate?
The type of operator you need depends on whether your gate swings or slides. Swing gates use an actuator arm or pad-mount operator and can be single or dual leaf. Dual-leaf swing gates need one operator per leaf.
Slide gates typically use a single operator that drives the gate along a track. Because a sliding gate needs clearance equal to the gate’s full width plus about two feet on one side, they are especially common in commercial settings where that run of space is available along a fence line. If you are not sure which style fits your property, the onsite consultation will sort that out.
Gate Operator Pricing
All pricing below is for the operator installed. Access control features, safety devices, and entry systems are priced separately based on your setup.
Swing Gate Operators
| Operator Type (Liftmaster) | Single Leaf | Dual Leaf |
|---|---|---|
| Hydraulic arm (LA400) | $3,025 | $4,860 |
| Screw-drive arm (LA500) | $3,875 | $5,925 |
| Residential swing (RSW12UL) | $4,875 | $9,560 |
| Commercial swing (CSW24UL) | $5,690 | $11,190 |
| Heavy-duty swing (HDSW24UL) | $7,525 | $14,860 |
Slide Gate Operators
| Operator Type (LiftMaster) | Single Leaf | Dual Leaf |
|---|---|---|
| Residential slide (RSL12UL) | $4,545 | $8,900 |
| Commercial slide (CSL24UL) | $5,320 | $10,450 |
| Heavy-duty slide HDSL24UL) | $6,665 | $13,140 |
Entry and Access Systems
Every automated gate needs a way to grant or deny access. The right entry system depends on who is using the gate, how often, and how much control you need over the process.
Basic Entry
All of our operators are quoted standard with two remotes and two basic keypad entries (one inside, one outside), allowing entry by code without a remote.
Advanced Entry
For properties that need more than a basic keypad, we install a full range of entry systems including video keypads, telephone entry, cellular entry, and RFID and Wiegand-compatible devices including windshield tags, keyfobs, and access cards.
Full Access Control
For commercial properties, HOAs, and any site where managing who has access matters, we install full access control systems with onsite and offsite data entry, client database management, and license plate reader cameras. Advanced features such as intercom systems, biometric scanners, gooseneck posts, and mesh network extensions for remote automation access are also available. Full access control systems typically carry a monthly service fee depending on the platform and features selected.
Safety and Traffic Control
A properly installed gate automation system does more than open and close. We install vehicle presence loops and photo eyes to prevent the gate from closing on a vehicle, directional traffic control spikes, and barrier arms for controlled single-direction access. For properties that require it, we install fire pre-emption devices including TOMAR strobe detectors and Knox key switches, as well as RFID and Wiegand windshield tag readers for authorized vehicular access.
Brands We Work With
We work with a wide range of gate operator manufacturers including LiftMaster, DoorKing (DKS), All-O-Matic, Viking, FAAC, and others.
For access control, we also utilize Security Brands, Linear, SECO-LARM, DoorKing, Multi-Code, Ritron, ProdataKey, Watchman, Liftmaster, AES, and more.
If you have an existing system from another brand that needs service, repair, or integration with new access features, we can help.
Need a Gate Too?
Triple B custom fabricates steel and aluminum gates in-house. If you need a new gate to automate, or want to replace an existing gate as part of your automation project, we build and install both. Learn more about our custom gate fabrication.
Free Onsite Consultation
Gate automation is not a one-size-fits-all product. The right system depends on your gate, your property, your traffic volume, and what level of access control you actually need. We come out, assess everything in person, and give you a clear recommendation and a flat-rate quote before any work begins. No pressure and no upselling products that do not fit your situation.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does gate automation cost in Mesa?
Operator pricing starts at $3,025 for a single-leaf hydraulic swing arm and $4,545 for a residential slide operator. Commercial and heavy-duty operators range from $5,320 to $7,525. Access control features, entry systems, and safety devices are priced on top based on what your property needs. All pricing is flat-rate and confirmed before work begins.
What is the difference between a swing and slide gate operator?
Swing operators use an arm or pad-mount mechanism to push or pull the gate leaf open. Dual-leaf swing gates need one operator per leaf. Slide operators drive the gate along a track and require clearance equal to the gate width plus about two feet on one side. The right choice depends on your gate style and available space.
Do you service existing gate automation systems?
Yes. We service and repair systems from LiftMaster, DoorKing, All-O-Matic, Viking, and other brands. If your existing operator or access system needs attention, we can assess it as part of a service call.
What does a free consultation include?
We come out to your property, assess your gate, your access needs, and your site conditions, and give you a clear recommendation for the system that fits. There is no charge for the consultation and no obligation to proceed.
What areas do you serve?
We install and service gate automation systems throughout Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Phoenix, and Maricopa.
